CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: A special lecture on the trends and principles of Indian communication was organized jointly by the Indian Communication Symposium and the Bharatmuni Chair at Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication in Noida. The program’s keynote speaker was Professor Biplab Loho Choudhury from Visva Bharati University, Shantiniketan. The event was chaired by the university’s Vice-Chancellor, Prof. K.G. Suresh.
During the special lecture, Prof. Suresh mentioned the importance of studying Indian communication based on one’s experiences. He congratulated the Bharatmuni Chair for its third consecutive event and highlighted the ongoing work on Indian communication at the university.
Prof. Biplab Loho Choudhury elaborated extensively on various topics ranging from ancient knowledge to spiritual communication and Western communication. Speaking on Western knowledge and communication, he emphasized the need to critically examine and accept something only after testing it against benchmarks and scientific principles.
Prof. Choudhury emphasized the importance of understanding communication from a holistic perspective. The program also included the release of the university’s research journal on media criticism, “Media Mimansa.” The lecture was moderated by Prof. Girish Upadhyay, and Prof. Pavitra Srivastava, Head of the Advertising and Public Relations Department, expressed gratitude. Various department heads, faculty members, and students from different departments attended the program.
