CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: At the Government Homeopathic Medical College and Hospital, located within the AYUSH Campus, MANIT Hills, Bhopal, the Homeopathy Wellness Center offers specialized treatment for obesity in women. Beneficiaries of the Homeopathy Wellness Center will now also have access to inpatient admission facilities. Additionally, specialists will be available for the treatment of joint pain, obesity, and Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS). The Health Wellness Center Unit has been established in collaboration with the Central Ministry of AYUSH and the Central Council for Research in Yoga & Naturopathy (CCRYN).
Dr. Juhi Gupta, the Nodal Officer of the Homeopathy Wellness Center, stated that hormonal changes in women at various stages of life are increasingly leading to obesity, which is becoming widespread and severe. This issue is especially prevalent among working women, often accompanied by symptoms such as joint pain, fatigue, anxiety, and disinterest in work. If neglected, it may lead to serious imbalances and major health complications in the future.
As per the directives of the Central Ministry, this wellness center provides comprehensive treatment for obesity through homeopathy and naturopathy. In addition to medications, the special treatment program includes daily routines, diet plans, internal cleansing, massage therapy, hydrotherapy, and steam baths. The duration of treatment is customized based on the individual’s needs and physical condition. Each patient’s medicines and therapies are uniquely prescribed, and the outcomes are enhanced through yoga.
Currently, all facilities and services at the Homeopathy Wellness Center are available from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM. For specialized obesity treatment, Dr. Priya Kuldeep will be available from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM, and Dr. Jyoti Jat from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Dr. Juhi Gupta mentioned that this is an innovative effort to provide targeted health benefits to women under the supervision of specialists. The Principal of the College, Dr. S.K. Mishra, added that this service is specifically designed to benefit women.
