The project was envisioned and developed by the promoters of Lloyds Realty Developers Ltd. and has been recognised for integrating contemporary architecture with environmental and resource-efficiency considerations.
The certification marks a significant milestone for the development as it seeks to combine commercial functionality with sustainable building practices. The project is designed to support modern workspaces while incorporating features aimed at improving resource efficiency and environmental performance.
According to Lloyds Realty, The Square reflects its focus on developing commercial spaces that integrate sustainability with contemporary design. The company said the IGBC recognition reflects the project’s approach towards resource-efficient infrastructure and long-term value for occupants and stakeholders.
The Square is located in Andheri East and has been completed as a commercial development spanning approximately 1,82,300 square feet, according to Lloyds Realty’s project information. The company lists Panthaky Architects as the project’s architect.
The development has also attracted managed-office operations, with Smartworks taking 1,82,300 square feet of space at The Square. Earlier project information had identified the development as pre-certified IGBC Gold, while the latest announcement from Lloyds Realty confirms the Platinum certification.
The IGBC Platinum recognition adds another sustainability milestone to Lloyds Realty’s commercial real-estate portfolio and highlights the growing focus on green building standards in Mumbai’s office and commercial property market.
