CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: A significant meeting was organized under the leadership of Saurabh Kataria, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager (Sr. DCM) of West Central Railway, Bhopal division. This meeting, held as part of the Vigilance Awareness Campaign, saw the participation of catering contractors and license holders from various railway stations in the division. The primary objective of the meeting was to ensure high-quality food for passengers, minimize complaints related to catering services, prevent overcharging, promote courteous behavior towards passengers, and encourage stall operators to work with integrity.

During the meeting, Kataria gave strict instructions to all catering contractors to provide food at the designated prices. He emphasized that charging extra from any passenger is entirely unacceptable, and strict action will be taken against such complaints. He also directed that under no circumstances should cold or stale food be served to passengers, as it could negatively affect their health. Maintaining cleanliness and adhering to high standards is also essential to ensure safe and hygienic food for passengers.

Kataria further emphasized that the behavior of staff working at the stalls should be friendly and cooperative toward passengers to avoid complaints. He expected the contractors to sell only the contracted food items as per railway rules.

Divisional Commercial Manager Pankaj Kumar Dubey was also present at the meeting. The contractors raised their issues and concerns, and they were assured that their problems would be addressed promptly to ensure uninterrupted service to passengers.

The railway administration clarified that such meetings would be held regularly to further improve the quality of catering services. This will not only provide contractors with opportunities to improve their services but also help the railway prioritize passenger satisfaction and health.
