CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Sri Lanka defeated Pakistan by four wickets in the second semi-final of the Women’s Asia Cup 2026 to book their place in the final.

With this win, Sri Lanka will now face India in the title clash. India had entered the final after defeating Bangladesh by 40 runs in the first semi-final.

Batting first, Pakistan scored 130 runs for the loss of five wickets in 20 overs. Captain Fatima Sana produced an impressive innings, scoring an unbeaten 47 off 36 balls. She also made an impact with the ball, taking four Sri Lankan wickets, but her all-round performance could not secure victory for Pakistan.

Sri Lanka had a poor start in the chase and were struggling at 33 for four at one stage. The innings was then steadied by batters including Harshitha Madhavi and Nilakshika Silva. Sri Lanka reached 131 in 19 overs to win the match.

The Women’s Asia Cup final between India and Sri Lanka will now be played on Sunday, 13 September, at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. The two teams had also met in the 2024 final, where Sri Lanka defeated India to win the title.
