CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: India’s Homemakers: A Natural Example of Management Excellence

In Indian households, homemakers do not need a weighing scale in the kitchen, nor do they require formal training from an institution to prepare meals. The exceptional kitchen management skills of Indian homemakers are naturally and traditionally ingrained. The Indian kitchen serves as an outstanding example of management excellence on the global stage.

In Indian society, countless traditions and practices have been passed down for generations. The knowledge embedded in every aspect of our culture must be researched, documented, and adapted to contemporary global needs. This was stated by Higher Education, Technical Education, and AYUSH Minister Inder Singh Parmar at the inauguration of the “Srijan (SRJAN)” program at Rajiv Gandhi Technological University, Bhopal. The minister also launched the information brochure of the Srijan program.

Empowering Student Innovations through “Srijan”

Minister Parmar emphasized that students’ projects should not be confined to institutional campuses. To provide a strong platform for student-led innovations addressing societal challenges, the “Srijan” program has been developed. This initiative aims to encourage students to engage in innovation and research.

The grand finale of the Srijan program will take place on May 11, marking National Technology Day. The nodal agency for this initiative, Rajiv Gandhi Technological University, has been tasked with successfully executing the program. Minister Parmar expressed his best wishes for the initiative and stated that the university will serve as a hub of inspiration for innovative education.

The university will also work towards assisting students in research, documentation, and innovation. Sustaining research-driven, solution-oriented innovations requires active participation from all stakeholders.

Restoring India’s Intellectual Legacy through Research & Innovation

Minister Parmar highlighted that India’s knowledge was once the best in the world, earning it the title of Vishwaguru (World Teacher). Despite our ancestors being well-educated and knowledgeable, India’s history was misrepresented over time. Deliberate efforts were made to erase Indian philosophy and establish false narratives.

Post-independence, it was crucial to reclaim India’s true intellectual heritage. The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 has provided an opportunity to rebuild the nation with a sense of self-identity and cultural pride. Understanding India’s traditional knowledge systems is essential for this vision. Our ancestors established traditions and beliefs based on scientific reasoning, making Indian society deeply rooted in scientific thought.

India’s Path to Self-Reliance by 2047

Minister Parmar emphasized that gratitude is a fundamental aspect of Indian civilization. In alignment with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision, India will become self-reliant in energy and food production by the centenary of independence. To achieve this, collective effort and perseverance are required.

Under Minister Parmar’s leadership, Rajiv Gandhi Technological University has initiated the Srijan program to provide a platform for students to showcase and develop their innovative projects.
