CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: There is major news for Class 12-pass youth preparing for government jobs. The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has issued the notification for the Combined Higher Secondary Level, or CHSL 2026, recruitment. Under this recruitment drive, candidates will be selected for around 2,536 temporary Group-C posts.
The recruitment includes posts such as Lower Division Clerk (LDC), Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA), Data Entry Operator (DEO) and DEO Grade-A. Candidates who have passed Class 12 from a recognised board can apply for these posts. The general age limit has been fixed at 18 to 27 years as on August 1, 2026, while reserved categories will receive relaxation as per rules.
The application process began on September 7, 2026, and candidates can apply online until 11 pm on October 7, 2026. The last date for fee payment is October 8. A correction window for applications will be available from October 14 to 16.
On salary, pay has been fixed from Pay Level-2 to Level-5 according to the post. For DEO Grade-A, the pay scale is ₹29,200 to ₹92,300. Selection will be through Tier-I, Tier-II, skill/typing test and document verification.
