CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The National Centre of Excellence, Bhopal, of the Sports Authority of India will organise World Bicycle Day at T.T. Nagar Stadium, Bhopal. The objective of the programme is to increase awareness about fitness, health and environmental protection.

Vishvas Kailash Sarang, Hon’ble Minister of Sports and Youth Welfare, Government of Madhya Pradesh, will be the chief guest at the programme. Dr M.K. Singh, officiating Vice-Chancellor of the Lakshmibai National Institute of Physical Education (LNIPE), Gwalior, will attend as the distinguished guest, while noted actress Ms Aishwarya Raj Bhakuni will participate as the special guest.

As part of the programme, a cycle rally will be organised with the participation of athletes from SAI NCOE Bhopal and dignitaries. The aim is to promote cycling as an effective medium for fitness, endurance and an environment-friendly lifestyle.

The event reflects SAI’s commitment to promoting sports excellence as well as a healthy and active lifestyle.
