CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Bhopal: The Sports Authority of India Regional Centre, Bhopal, enthusiastically organised the 12th International Yoga Day. This year’s theme was “Yoga for Healthy Ageing”, aimed at promoting physical, mental and emotional well-being among people of all age groups through yoga and encouraging a healthy and active lifestyle.
On the occasion, athletes, coaches and staff of the Sports Authority of India Regional Centre, Bhopal, participated enthusiastically and practised various yogasanas and pranayama under the guidance of trained yoga experts. The programme presented yoga as an effective means to improve fitness, reduce stress and lead a healthy and balanced life.
As part of the wider public awareness campaign for International Yoga Day, the Sports Authority of India Regional Centre, Bhopal, also organised special yoga sessions at Apna Ghar old age home and The Bhopal School of Social Sciences (BSSS) College.

At Apna Ghar old age home, senior citizens took part in yoga activities with enthusiasm. Special yogasanas and exercises were conducted for them to help improve flexibility, balance and overall health. The session highlighted the important role of yoga in ensuring dignity, self-reliance and a better quality of life for the elderly.
In the same series, a yoga awareness and practice session was organised at BSSS College, where students, teachers and staff participated actively. Participants practised yogasanas, meditation and pranayama, and learned about the long-term benefits of adopting yoga in daily life.
On the occasion, the Sports Authority of India Regional Centre, Bhopal, appealed to all citizens to make yoga a part of their daily routine and adopt a healthy, balanced and positive lifestyle.
