CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: SpaceX’s Starship Flight-14 is ready for its first orbital flight today, September 28, 2026. The mission will be launched from Starbase in Texas, United States. The launch window is planned to open at around 5:45 pm IST.
The most significant aspect of this mission is that, for the first time, Starship’s upper stage will attempt to reach Earth orbit. According to the plan, Starship will make nearly six orbits of Earth at an altitude of about 275 kilometres. The entire flight could last around 10 hours, after which a controlled landing of Starship is planned in the Pacific Ocean near the western region of Chile. During the mission, Starship will also deploy 26 Starlink V3 satellites. It will then complete its orbit around Earth and re-enter the atmosphere. However, all phases of the mission are still planned, and the actual outcome will become clear only during the flight.
This Starship flight is being seen as an important test for SpaceX’s preparations for its Moon and Mars missions. The company is working on plans to use this vehicle in the future for major space campaigns and human missions.
