CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: State Congress President Jeetu Patwari held an organizational meeting with Congress members, district presidents, district in-charges, and block presidents of Ujjain.
Mr. Patwari addressed the Congress members, emphasizing the efforts being made to strengthen the party at the organizational level and to engage more workers. He acknowledged the challenges faced by the party in the recent Assembly and Lok Sabha elections despite the hard work of every Congress worker. Although the results did not meet their expectations, causing some nervousness, he recognized the significant challenges ahead. He accused the BJP of betraying the public at every turn, noting the increase in atrocities against the people just six to eight months into their government. He highlighted the struggles faced by various groups, including Dalits, Adivasis, women, girls, and youth, stating that the BJP government is treating the state’s citizens like the British did.
Mr. Patwari expressed that the oppressive attitude of the BJP government has left every section of the state disappointed. He committed to fighting for the rights and dignity of the people from the streets to the Assembly as part of their opposition responsibility.
During the meeting, Congress members from Ujjain shared their suggestions for strengthening the party organization. After listening to and discussing these suggestions, Mr. Patwari emphasized that strengthening the organization down to the booth level is their top priority. He believes that a strong organization will enable them to effectively confront the BJP. He called for unity and a collective spirit in their efforts.
The meeting was attended by Ujjain MLAs Mahesh Parmar and Dinesh Vos, former MLAs Murli Morwal and Dilip Gurjar, district president Mukesh Bhati, block presidents, and other Congress members.
