CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Cooperation Minister Vishwas Kailash Sarang stated that the state government is always supportive of promoting theatre and literature. It will continue to honor those engaged in the responsibilities of cultural preservation, future aspirations, and guiding society. Minister Sarang was addressing the award ceremony organized by the Dr. Rajendra Kumar Institute of Public Relations and Journalism at Shahid Bhavan. During the ceremony, the Rajendra Kumar Smriti Award for this year was presented to G.S. Wadhwa, the Additional Director of Public Relations.
Minister Sarang remarked that receiving any honor is quite challenging, as there is an expectation for the individual to continue to work even better to maintain that honor. Additionally, it serves as an inspiration for the youth. Selecting hardworking and dedicated individuals each year is also a significant challenge that the institute continues to address effectively.
Minister Sarang honored G.S. Wadhwa by presenting him with a shawl, a coconut, and a certificate of appreciation. Senior journalist Girijashankar, Director of Nirala Srijan Peeth and senior writer Sadhna Balwate, senior theatre artist and actor Rajiv Verma, and the institute’s president Vinod Tiwari also addressed the event. The program began with the lighting of a lamp, and the guests offered floral tributes to the portrait of Rajendra Kumar. The event was conducted by Mrs. Apurva Trivedi, and Director Mukesh Rai expressed gratitude at the end. On this occasion, the Chetna Rang Group of Bhopal performed the play “Sardiyon Ka Phir Wahi Mausam,” directed by Ashish Srivastava.
