CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Under the joint aegis of the Madhya Pradesh State AIDS Control Society and the National Service Scheme (NSS), a state-level quiz competition was organized at Shipra Auditorium, located in the Vice Chancellor’s Secretariat of Barkatullah University, Bhopal. The purpose of the competition was to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS among adolescents and youth and spread accurate information.
Selected winning volunteers from seven universities of the state participated and showcased their knowledge across seven different rounds. Around 200 students from Red Ribbon Clubs, present as the audience, also participated actively. The quiz was conducted by Quiz Master Sunit Kashiv, with technical support from Dr. Pankaj Khairnar and Abhishek Agrawal.

Chief Guest and Project Director of the State AIDS Control Society, Suchismita Saxena, addressed the youth, saying that winning and losing are lessons of life and that young people must pledge to work towards the eradication of HIV/AIDS. Savita Thakur, Joint Director (IEC), called upon new volunteers to spread awareness through Red Ribbon Clubs. Dr. Vivek Sharma, Acting Vice Chancellor, appreciated the efforts of the committee, while Manoj Kumar Agnihotri, State NSS Officer, inspired the youth to contribute actively in social service.

In the competition, the team from Jiwaji University, Gwalior (Devendra Singh Rathore and Dipanshu Sharma) secured the first position, Barkatullah University, Bhopal (Aditya Jaiswal and Krishna Saxena) stood second, and Devi Ahilya University, Indore (Aman Dwivedi and Yash Choudhary) bagged the third prize. The winning teams were awarded ₹10,000, ₹7,000, and ₹5,000 respectively. The first-place team will now represent Madhya Pradesh in the regional competition to be held in Haryana on 22nd September.

The successful event was organized by the NSS Cell of Barkatullah University, Bhopal, with co-organization by the Bhopal School of Social Sciences and the Red Ribbon Club. The program was conducted under the guidance of Anant Kumar Saxena and Rahul Singh Parihar, while a vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. D.B. Singh.
