CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: A state-level industrial disaster management mock drill will be conducted at the BHEL Industrial Institute in Bhopal on April 17, 2025. The drill will be organized in the context of chemical/industrial accidents and will involve various emergency services. The primary objective of this mock drill is to minimize the impact of industrial accidents and control the loss of life and property.
This drill will see the participation of key disaster management teams from the district, such as NDRF, SDRF, the District Disaster Management Authority, police, the army, and other relevant departments. During the mock drill, an incident command post, relief camp, medical health post, and media desk will be set up at the accident site.
Additionally, a meeting was held on April 15 at the Collector’s Conference Hall to discuss preparations for the mock drill. The meeting was attended by Brijesh Jaiswal, Senior Consultant, Madhya Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority, who discussed the plan for organizing the drill. It was also mentioned that a green corridor would be created during the mock drill to manage the effects of chemical leakage and industrial accidents, ensuring quick medical assistance.
The main aim of this mock drill is to develop an effective and capable strategy to handle emergency situations in industrial areas.
