CNN Central News & Networks / ITDC India ePress / ITDC News /Agencies/ Bhopal: MLA Bhagwandas Sabnani awarded the winning participants of a student competition held on the theme “Democracy versus Anarchy” at Model School in the South-West Assembly constituency and encouraged them.
Addressing students at the programme held at Model School, MLA Bhagwandas Sabnani said the country runs on the basis of the Constitution. In Baba Saheb’s Constitution, clear policies and rules have been made for every matter, he said. Whether panchayat elections, councillor elections, Assembly elections or Lok Sabha elections, every election here is held once in five years and people elect their leader, he said. Our democratic system is appreciated across the world and many countries also follow it, he added.
He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India is rapidly moving ahead on the world stage and is today touching heights in every sector. He further said the Opposition, especially the Congress, is unable to digest the hard work and popularity of “our Pradhan Sevak”. It wants to create an atmosphere of anarchy in the country, but forgets that the people have elected their Pradhan Sevak for the third time, he said.

Sabnani said the Congress is passing through its worst phase. It raises questions over every constitutional institution and it appears as if it no longer has faith in the electoral process, he said. After losing countless elections, it is now trying to vitiate the country’s atmosphere, but it forgets that our leadership is in the hands of the world’s biggest leader, in whom the people’s faith is unwavering, he said.
He said India is the world’s fourth-largest economy and will soon move to the third position. We all have faith in our Constitution and democratic system, and on that basis we are moving ahead in every field, he said. He added that aware youth, healthy dialogue and respect for constitutional values are the foundation of a strong democracy. Such events will prove important in inspiring youth towards the goal of “Developed India 2047”, he said.

Various competitions, including essay writing, quiz, content creation and speech contests, were organised during the programme. Students participated enthusiastically and gave an excellent display of their talent, knowledge and thoughtfulness. The winning participants were awarded by the MLA, who encouraged them.
Principal Rekha Sharma, District General Secretary Mukesh Rai, District Minister Utkarsh Nayak, Co-treasurer Asha Paroche, Mayor-in-Council member R.K. Singh Baghel, councillor Brijula Sachan, councillor Aarti Raju Aneja and a large number of students were present at the programme.
