CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Final year students from the Automobile Engineering and Electrical and Electronics departments at UIT-RGPV have built an off-road four-seater e-vehicle. The students, under the guidance of their department heads and faculty, completed the construction of all necessary sub-systems of the e-vehicle, such as chassis design, electric drivetrain, steering and suspension systems, battery management system, and wiring harness.

Prof. Sudhir Singh Bhadauria, Director of UIT RGPV, stated that this e-vehicle would be used to travel from the university’s main gate to various departments and buildings within the campus. With a 110AH battery capacity, this four-seater e-vehicle can cover a distance of 60 kilometers on a full charge. Notably, the university’s Automobile Department recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Cryptic Motors, Bhopal, under which the departments received training that subsequently led to the construction of this e-vehicle.

The e-vehicle was launched in the presence of the university’s Vice Chancellor Prof. Rupam Gupta, UIT RGPV Director Prof. Sudhir Singh Bhadauria, Head of the Automobile Department Prof. Alka Bani Agrawal, Head of the Electrical and Electronics Department Prof. Vinay Thapar, faculty members, and students. University Registrar Mohan Sen and all faculty members appreciated the students’ achievement.
