CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: In Madhya Pradesh, 3-4 lakh unemployed engineers with degrees and diplomas, who participate in the Sub Engineer (Sub Engineer) recruitment examination conducted by ESB (formerly Vyapam) in the state, are currently facing a disappointing situation. ESB has issued an advertisement for the Sub Engineer Recruitment Examination-2024, in which out of a total of 283 posts, there are only 21 general posts for civil engineers. Most of the posts are reserved for differently-abled and contractual employees, which is a commendable step, but it is not sufficient for general/open category candidates.

We object to the injustice and exploitation being done to general students by the Madhya Pradesh government and ESB. The academic exploitation of students, the economic exploitation by private coaching institutes, and the social stigmas faced at various levels are breaking the morale of the students.

In Madhya Pradesh, a total of 148 posts for civil engineers have been released in six different departments, most of which are reserved for differently-abled and contractual employees. Only 21 posts are available for general students, which is insufficient. Vacant and backlog posts also need to be filled in various departments like PWD, PHE, WRD, UADD, etc.

Our request is to increase the vacancies in all important departments and fill the backlog positions promptly so that eligible candidates get the opportunity for employment. Especially in the PHE and PWD departments, general/open candidates should also be allowed to apply.

We request you to consider our appeal sympathetically and take appropriate steps soon. Your decision will brighten the future of thousands of eligible candidates.
