CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Having a solid roof over one’s head is a dream for every individual, especially for those who are economically weak. This was the dream of Mrs. Ritu Sethiwar, a resident of Sukhi Sevania in Bhopal district, who had been longing for a permanent home for years. For her family, living in a temporary house during the rainy season was always a challenge. Water would leak from the roof, the walls would get damp, and the threat of poisonous creatures was ever-present. These problems often kept her in a state of worry and insecurity.

However, the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) brought a ray of hope into her life. When Ritu received approval for a permanent house under this scheme, it felt like a miracle to her. Within a few months, her new home was ready. Now, she and her family live in a safe and permanent house without any fear or worry. Ritu says, “Now we have a solid house where we can live comfortably without worrying about rain or poisonous creatures. I am proud that I can now provide a safe environment for my family.”

Mrs. Ritu Sethiwar has not only benefited from the Prime Minister’s Housing Scheme but is also receiving financial assistance of ₹1,250 under the Chief Minister Ladli Behna Yojana, which helps fulfill other needs of her household. Additionally, under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, she received a gas connection for ₹450, making her cooking now safe and healthy.

Ritu credits Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Mohan Yadav for the realization of her dreams. She states, “These schemes are not only meeting my family’s needs but are also making our lives better and safer. I express my heartfelt gratitude for this.”
