CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: With the objective of honoring the extraordinary legacy of the great mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan, the Department of Mathematics at Sant Hirdaram Girls’ College organized a dignified academic program on the occasion of National Mathematics Day. The event served as a source of inspiration for students, connecting Ramanujan’s historic achievements with contemporary academic aspirations.
The program began with a motivational session highlighting Ramanujan’s life of struggle and his revolutionary contributions to the field of number theory. This was followed by the screening of an inspirational film based on his life, which effectively portrayed his dedication, perseverance, and passion for mathematics.
To encourage students’ logical reasoning and analytical abilities, an engaging and competitive quiz competition was organized, where students demonstrated deep understanding of mathematical concepts and quick-thinking skills. This multi-dimensional event was not only a celebration of Ramanujan’s innate genius but also aimed at inspiring students to face complex academic challenges with determination and precision.
College Principal Dalima Parwani appreciated the success of the program and congratulated Head of the Mathematics Department Varsha Mandwariya and Sonam Jain for their excellent organization of the event. Students who performed exceptionally well in the quiz competition were felicitated and awarded prizes.
