CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: A one-day national webinar on the theme “Relevance of Blended Mode Teaching and Learning in Higher Education” was successfully organized at the Institute for Excellence in Higher Education (IEHE), Bhopal, sponsored by the Higher Education Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh. The webinar formally began with a virtual invocation of Goddess Saraswati. Following this, Dr. Ramkrishna Srivastava, the convener of the organizing committee, delivered the welcome address and shared the objectives of the webinar, emphasizing the importance and relevance of blended learning in the current times.

Addressing the national webinar, Dr. Pragyesh Kumar Agrawal, Director of IEHE, discussed the institute’s previous experiences with blended learning during the COVID-19 pandemic and encouraged its continued integrated use. The invited speaker, Dr. Ashish Avadhya, Assistant Director (Training and Development) at the Online Education Center, IGNOU, New Delhi, provided detailed insights on the “Academic Bank of Credit for Implementing Blended Learning.” He introduced various dimensions of blended learning and guided participants on the credit transfer process, expounding on the credit policy system, regulatory system, and implementing framework in the context of the National Education Policy 2020.

The second invited speaker, Mr. Prateek Sharma from IIT Delhi, discussed the role and necessity of “Virtual Labs” under national education, facilitated through the Ministry of Education. He also provided a live demonstration of various science-related virtual labs on the website. The webinar saw participation from over 140 participants from 22 states across the country, including international participants. During the technical sessions, participants presented theme-based research papers on teaching methods involving ICT and AI.

The research paper presentation session was chaired by Senior Professor and IQAC Coordinator Dr. Anuj Hundet, with Dr. Akhilesh Shende responsible for summarizing the session. Dr. Saman Ashfaq, Joint Secretary of the organizing committee, expressed gratitude to all participants, and the successful conduction of the webinar was efficiently managed by Organizing Secretary Dr. Meenakshi Rathi.
