CNN Central News & Networks / ITDC India ePress / ITDC News /Agencies/ Bhopal: In Raipur, BJP leader Sudhanshu Trivedi made a sharp comment while targeting the Congress. He said some people in Delhi are sitting as “mental Naxals”. Trivedi alleged that such people are raising questions over the country’s democratic system and election process. After his statement, discussion has intensified in political circles.

Trivedi said the Congress had earlier been raising questions about electronic voting machines (EVMs) and is now objecting to the voter list. Criticising this stand of the opposition, he said it is not appropriate to continuously express doubt over the electoral process. Linking the Congress’s allegations to a political viewpoint, the BJP leader said the party’s position keeps changing according to its standing in elections. He also put forward his views on the questions being raised over the voter list and EVMs.

Meanwhile, the debate among political parties over the transparency of the electoral process and the accuracy of the voter list continues. On this issue, the round of allegations and counter-allegations between the BJP and the Congress has once again come to the fore.
