CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The “Sujal Shakti Campaign” in Madhya Pradesh was concluded in the village of Bilkhiria by the Secretary of the Public Health Engineering Department, Mr. P. Narhari. The campaign aimed at promoting water conservation, water management, and raising awareness among the community regarding these issues.
The closing ceremony began with the garlanding of Mahatma Gandhi’s portrait and the lighting of the lamp, where the village sarpanch and department officials welcomed the chief guests. Executive Engineer Manju Singh provided an update on the progress of the five-day program.
Secretary Narhari shared that under the Jal Jeevan Mission, water is now being supplied to every household in the village, saving time for women. He encouraged women to engage in creative activities and establish small businesses.
The Managing Director of the Water Corporation, Kolsani, praised the successful management of the panchayat over the past three years and urged other panchayats to follow suit. Chief Engineer K.K. Sonagariya emphasized the regular maintenance of the pipeline.
“Water soldiers” who performed exceptionally well during the campaign were honored with certificates of appreciation. The program concluded with a tree plantation activity, attended by Bhopal PHE Chief Engineer R.K. Herodia, Superintending Engineer M.C. Ahirwar, Executive Engineer Manju Singh, and Sarpanch Mishrilal Gurjar.
