CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: A summer camp was organized at Government Higher Secondary School, Semra Kala, Bhopal for students from Class 1 to 8, with around 100 children participating.

During the camp, the children engaged in creative activities such as stone painting, greeting card making, and poster creation on the theme of environmental balance in observance of Earth Day. They also worked on “Big Book” creation, and made wrapper posters using empty wrappers of biscuits, toffees, and toothpaste, exploring how such materials can be used for reading and writing purposes.

As part of a student newspaper initiative, children took on the role of reporters, interviewing the school Principal, and published newspapers filled with stories, poems, and educational content, including information on language, mathematics, and science.

The closing ceremony of the camp was graced by local councilors Gauri Pathak and Nitin Pathak, Principal Sheeja Johnsy, Bhanupar High School Principal Yogiraj Parte, along with teachers of the school and representatives from the Azim Premji Foundation – Sandeep Diwakar, Bhoomika Sharma, and Arvind Jain.

On this occasion, students presented a colorful cultural program, which included an English song and a drama performance titled “Mumbai Musician”. An exhibition showcasing the children’s work from the past eight days was also organized and was well appreciated by parents and guests.
