CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The Sports Authority of India (SAI) CRC Bhopal, in collaboration with the Green Planet Bicycle Riders Association (GPBRA), successfully organized the “Sunday on Cycle” program. The event was graced by Chief Guest Radheshyam Julania, Retired IAS Officer and former Secretary of the Ministry of Sports.

Director R.S. Julania, along with Regional Director Abhishek Singh Chauhan of SAI CRC Bhopal, inaugurated the event, symbolizing a shared commitment to promoting fitness and healthy living through cycling.

The initiative, aimed at encouraging fitness and healthy living, saw enthusiastic participation from approximately 110 individuals, including prominent athletes, coaches, staff from SAI Bhopal, and members of GPBRA. The event highlighted the importance of cycling and physical activity in promoting a healthy and fit lifestyle.

Beyond NCOE Bhopal, five SAI Training Centers (STCs) under RC Bhopal—STC Dhar, STC Jabalpur, STC Tikamgarh, STC Raipur, and STC Rajnandgaon—actively participated in the “Sunday on Cycle” initiative, reflecting their shared commitment to fitness and healthy living. This was the fifth edition of the “Sunday on Cycle” program organized under SAI RC Bhopal, aligning with the flagship Fit India Sunday on Cycle campaign initiated by the Honorable Union Sports Minister.

In his address, Director Julania emphasized the importance of regular physical activity for individuals of all age groups. He encouraged participants to motivate their elderly family members to dedicate at least 30 minutes daily to physical activities, underlining the role of an active lifestyle in maintaining good health. His message resonated with attendees, highlighting the nation’s commitment to community well-being and outdoor fitness activities.

The Regional Director of SAI CRC Bhopal highlighted the role of cycling in promoting fitness and encouraged the community to adopt healthier and more active lifestyles. He expressed heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Julania and the Green Planet Bicycle Riders Association (GPBRA) for their active collaboration and support in ensuring the event’s success.

The event concluded on a positive note, fostering a sense of unity and accomplishment while promoting health, fitness, and active living through cycling.
