CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Various cleanliness and public awareness activities were organised at Bhopal railway station under the Swachhata Hi Seva-2026 campaign being run by Indian Railways.

As part of the campaign, Railway Board Principal Executive Director (C & IS) Mandeep Singh Bhatia, Bhopal Division Divisional Railway Manager Pankaj Tyagi, along with all branch officers and railway employees, actively participated in the cleanliness drive by undertaking one hour of collective shramdaan at the Bhopal station premises.

During the collective shramdaan, officers and railway employees carried out cleanliness work in different areas of the station premises and conveyed the message of staying clean themselves and inspiring others to maintain cleanliness. Pamphlets were distributed to make passengers aware of cleanliness, and cloth bags were also distributed to encourage environmental protection and reduce the use of plastic.

Collective Shramdaan Held at Bhopal Station Under Swachhata Hi Seva

During the campaign, passengers were appealed to actively cooperate in maintaining cleanliness at railway stations and railway premises, dispose of waste only in designated dustbins, and use cloth bags as much as possible instead of plastic.

The objective of the Swachhata Hi Seva-2026 campaign is to ensure that cleanliness is not limited to a campaign but becomes a habit of public participation and daily life. Through the campaign, Bhopal Division is continuously making passengers, railway employees and the general public aware of cleanliness.

Through initiatives such as collective shramdaan, the message is being given that everyone should participate in keeping railway premises clean, beautiful and environment-friendly. Additional Divisional Railway Manager Abhiram Khare, Additional Divisional Railway Manager Yogendra Baghel, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Saurabh Kataria and other branch officers took part in the collective cleanliness shramdaan.
