CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: On the occasion of Independence Day, “Swachhta Pakhwada” is being observed in the Bhopal Division of West Central Railway until August 15, 2025. The campaign began with a cleanliness pledge at the Divisional Office premises, where Divisional Railway Manager Devashish Tripathi administered the pledge to the officers and employees present. Simultaneously, officials and staff across all stations, depot offices, loco sheds, railway colonies, and departmental campuses of the division also took the cleanliness pledge in unity.
During the fortnight, various cleanliness awareness and voluntary labor activities will be conducted daily. These include intensive cleaning of stations, platforms, trains, tracks, station premises, offices, toilets, and water sources. Passengers are also being made aware of cleanliness through banners, posters, public announcements, and social media campaigns.
Railway employees have pledged to dedicate at least two hours of voluntary service each week as part of this initiative. This Swachhta Pakhwada will not only strengthen the Swachh Bharat Mission but also bring positive changes in environmental awareness and passenger amenities.
