CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: A closing ceremony for Swachhta Pakhwada was organized at ICAR-Central Institute of Agricultural Engineering (CIAE), Bhopal.

The event marked the conclusion of a fortnight-long cleanliness campaign featuring various activities. Mr. M.P. Singh (Assistant Chief Technical Officer) delivered the welcome address and provided a brief overview of the campaign. The campaign’s Nodal Officer, Dr. R.K. Singh (Principal Scientist and KVK In-Charge), reviewed the activities conducted under the initiative.

To raise awareness about environmental cleanliness, the institute and Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) conducted activities such as the Swachhta Pledge, waste management workshops, cleanliness maintenance drives, plantation campaigns, voluntary labor activities, Kisan Diwas celebrations, poster competitions, wastewater recycling, community market cleaning, compost-based waste management, and cleanliness rallies.

The signature campaign and community engagement activities run by the regional station in Coimbatore were also highlighted. Media professionals Mr. Dinesh Sharma (Senior Editor, Dainik Deen Bandhu) and Mr. Ajay Vishwakarma (Editor, Suman Prakash) praised the institute’s efforts in cleanliness initiatives.

The Chief Guest, Dr. C.R. Mehta, Director of ICAR-CIAE, Bhopal, emphasized the importance of cleanliness for better health and stressed maintaining cleanliness activities throughout the year in mission mode. The vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Dushyant Singh (Principal Scientist). The event saw the participation of all staff members from the institute and KVK.
