CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: At the Regional Science Centre, Bhopal, a Swachhta Pakhwada program was organized from April 16 to 30, 2026. As part of this initiative, a painting competition was organized for students in two categories—Classes 3 to 5 and Classes 6 to 10. A large number of students participated enthusiastically in the competition, expressing their creative ideas on cleanliness and environmental conservation through their artwork. The enthusiasm and creativity of the participants were highly commendable.

On the occasion of Earth Day (April 22), various educational and recreational activities were also organized at the Centre. Major highlights included a live science show, cyanotype painting workshop, science treasure hunt, Green Pledge Wall, and “Selfie with Giant Earth.”

Earth is our only home in this vast universe. Our body and life are gifts of this planet. Protecting and caring for the Earth is as important as caring for ourselves and is essential for our very existence. Through these programs, participants were made aware of science and environmental issues while being given opportunities for experiential learning.

Participants engaged actively in the program, understanding science in an interesting and interactive manner and expressing their commitment to environmental conservation.
Such activities play a significant role in developing scientific temper, creativity, and environmental awareness among students.

The Regional Science Centre, Bhopal, appeals to all citizens to make cleanliness and environmental conservation a part of their daily lives and contribute towards building a clean and green future.
