CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: On the occasion of Swami Vivekananda Jayanti, Mass Surya Namaskar was celebrated as Youth Day. From 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM, over 400 female students, along with college faculty, assistant professors, guest scholars, and administrative staff, participated in collective Surya Namaskar, pranayama, and meditation.

The program began with garlanding Swami Vivekananda’s statue by former Principal Surendra Kaur Batra, Administrative Officers Ashok Nema and Manisha Sharma. Distinguished citizens and Janbhagidari President Bharti Kumbhare graced the event. Amitabh Srivastava, coordinator of Jan Abhiyan Parishad and head of Vivekananda Kendra’s Amrit Parivar, shed light on Swami Vivekananda’s philosophy of life.

The event was inaugurated with the national song performed by Neena Srivastava. The Principal of the college, Deepti Srivastava, presiding over the program, inspired the students with Swami Vivekananda’s words, “Arise, awake, and stop not until the goal is achieved.” She urged them to stay focused, dedicated to their goals, and maintain good health.

Various competitions were organized at the college on this occasion, and an exhibition depicting Swami Vivekananda’s life was displayed. Additionally, a video presentation of Swami Vivekananda’s Chicago speech was screened. Following the collective Surya Namaskar, the National Anthem and Madhya Pradesh Anthem were sung. The program was coordinated by sports officer Rashmi Kela.
