CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Under the guidance of Executive Director Dr. Ajay Singh, the AYUSH Department of AIIMS Bhopal organized a Swarna Prashan program in the Ayurveda OPD on the occasion of World Health Day. This initiative began in 2022 on the day of Pushya Nakshatra, and since then, Swarna Prashan has been administered monthly on every Pushya Nakshatra day to promote the health and overall development of children.
A total of 101 children, aged 1 to 16 years, participated in the program. Among them, 66 children had previously received Swarna Prashan, while 35 children were newly registered for the first time. During the session, Ayurveda Medical Officer Dr. Ranjana Pandey administered the Swarna Prashan to the children and educated their parents about its significance for physical and mental health.
On this occasion, Prof. Singh stated, “Swarna Prashan Sanskar is a vital Ayurvedic practice that supports the physical and mental development of children. At AIIMS Bhopal, we are committed to strengthening child health through this initiative. This program also plays a key role in spreading awareness about the AYUSH department within the community.”
The AYUSH Department at AIIMS Bhopal has been offering this service free of cost for the past two years.
