CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Palak Sidhwani, who played the character Sonu in ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah,’ has made several serious allegations against the show’s producer, Asit Modi, following her departure from the show. In a recent conversation with Dainik Bhaskar, Palak revealed the reasons behind her decision to leave the show, the threats she received from the producer, and the exploitation she faced while working.
Reason for Leaving the Show
Palak shared that on August 8, 2024, she expressed her desire to leave the show due to health issues and personal reasons. However, the company took her request lightly and asked her to stay on for another 3-4 months.
Threats and Exploitation
Palak accused Asit Modi of forcing her to work even when she requested time off due to her health condition. She claimed that the producer threatened her, stating he could get her Instagram account shut down and ruin her social media career. Following this, she was also served a legal notice.
Emotional Struggles
Palak described the entire ordeal as emotionally exhausting, explaining that she felt targeted and trapped simply because she had decided to leave the show.
This dispute is now progressing into a legal battle, with Palak responding to the legal notice and clarifying her stance.
