Cancer drug prices have been cut by up to more than 93 percent after NPPA revised MRPs of 543 cancer medicine brands and packs, offering relief to patients.

The government has capped trade margins on non-scheduled anti-cancer drugs at 30% of MRP, a move expected to lower prices and save patients about Rs 2,500 crore annually.
