CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Young individuals aspiring to build a career in theatre arts and education are invited to apply for admission to the Tagore National School of Drama, under Rabindranath Tagore University, for the academic session 2025–26. The institute offers a 1-year PG Diploma in Dramatic Arts, a B.A. in Theatre, a 2-year M.A. in Dramatics, and Ph.D. programs in Theatre.
To be eligible for these programs, applicants must have a graduate degree in any discipline, practical knowledge of both Hindi and English, experience participating in at least four different stage plays, and a recommendation letter from at least one theatre expert. The age limit is 21 to 30 years as of July 1, 2025. These are fully residential programs.
A total of 30 students will be selected, who will receive a monthly scholarship of ₹6,000 while studying under a paid structure. Applications can be submitted online at the university website www.rntu.ac.in by May 31.
The programs offer access to an acting studio, learning under world-class faculty from film and theatre, hands-on training in a film-making studio, internship opportunities, placement support, workshops in both traditional and contemporary performing arts, and access to professional-level sound and lighting equipment.
