CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The Tamchy Special Financial Investment Territory (SFIT) in Kyrgyzstan has achieved a significant milestone in the field of international investment. It has been ranked first in the Asia-Pacific region and second globally under the “Emerging Star” category at fDi Intelligence’s “Global Free Zones of the Year Awards 2026”. The recognition has strengthened its identity as a new financial and business hub in Central Asia.
The award jury praised Tamchy SFIT’s long-term strategy and its plan to attract investors in priority sectors. It also noted the business-enabling facilities and the favourable environment created for investors.
Tamchy SFIT’s announced incentive framework includes zero corporate income tax for 49 years and the facility to repatriate profits abroad without restrictions. These measures are aimed at attracting international companies, investors and businesses linked to financial services.
Tamchy SFIT was formally inaugurated by Kyrgyzstan President Sadyr Japarov on July 3, 2026. It is being developed as a business zone based on a clear legal framework, regulatory flexibility and digital facilities. The territory is focusing on creating opportunities for investment funds, family investment offices, holding companies, international trading institutions and companies linked to financial technology.
In the initial phase of its establishment, companies from Switzerland, South Korea, Hong Kong, Kazakhstan and the United Arab Emirates registered with Tamchy SFIT. Several other companies are also completing the registration process.
The “Emerging Star” category takes into account the potential of newly established investment zones, early investor interest and strategic advantages. The recognition for Tamchy SFIT signals international acknowledgement at an early stage of its development. However, its long-term success will depend on how effectively it attracts investment, provides companies with a stable business environment and expands real economic activity.
