Tamil Nadu Lok Sabha poll results: Will BJP ally save Annamalai’s face in Tamil Nadu?

CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: National Democratic Alliance candidate Sowmiya Anbumani is leading in the Dharmapuri Lok Sabha constituency. The Pattali Makkal Katchi leader is leading by 13,174 votes.

As of 10.30am, Sowmiya Anbumani has polled 45,949 votes and leads by 13,174 votes against nearest rival, Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam candidate Mani. A, who has polled 35,596 votes. Dharmapuri is the only constituency where the Bharatiya Janata Party-led NDA is leading in Tamil Nadu. Dharmapuri is considered a stronghold of PMK.

BJP leader K. Annamalai is trailing in Coimbatore constituency to DMK leader Ganapathy Rajkumar. The AIADMK is leading only at two places – Kallakuruchi and Namakkal. The DMK-led alliance is leading in 32 constituencies.

In Puducherry, Congress candidate Ve. Vaithilingam is maintaining a lead by a margin of 10,321 votes.
