CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal : A crucial meeting of the Dastak Campaign, District TB Forum, and Measles-Rubella Task Force was held under the chairmanship of Chief Executive Officer of District Panchayat Bhopal, Ila Tiwari. The meeting was attended by CMHO Manish Sharma, District Immunization Officer Ritesh Rawat, and officials from the Health Department and the Women and Child Development Department.

It was informed in the meeting that the first phase of the Dastak Campaign will begin on July 22 and will run until September 16, 2025. The aim of the campaign is to provide complete health and nutrition services to children under the age of five. It includes screening for pneumonia, severe malnutrition, anemia, prevention of diarrheal diseases, administration of Vitamin A doses, etc. Anemia tests for children will also be conducted using digital hemoglobinometers.

CEO Ila Tiwari instructed that severely malnourished children must be admitted to nutrition rehabilitation centers and the progress of the campaign should be regularly updated on the portal. Dr. Ritesh Rawat shared that the Dastak Campaign has been running since 2018 to reduce child mortality and prevent childhood diseases.

CMHO Manish Sharma stated that approximately 3 lakh children in Bhopal will benefit from this campaign. ORS corners have been set up in all health institutions for diarrhea control, where parents will also be taught how to prepare ORS solution.
