CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Under the National Tuberculosis Elimination Program, the 100-Day Ni-Kshay Camps will be conducted until March 25, 2025. The campaign aims to accelerate TB elimination efforts and raise public awareness. The nationwide launch will include virtual participation from Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda, along with the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh.

The inauguration event will be held at Palash Residency in Bhopal, attended by Minister of State for Public Health and Medical Education Narendra Shivaji Patel, MP Alok Sharma, MLA Bhagwandas Sabanani, Mayor Malti Rai, and other public representatives and dignitaries.

This campaign will be conducted in 23 high-priority districts of the state, including Narsinghpur, Datia, Singrauli, Dindori, Khandwa, Katni, Anuppur, Alirajpur, Jabalpur, Neemuch, Ratlam, Mandsaur, Chhatarpur, Ujjain, Sidhi, Sheopur, Betul, Chhindwara, Vidisha, Damoh, Mandla, Sehore, and Seoni.

The focus of these camps is to screen, diagnose, and provide treatment for high-risk TB patients. Awareness activities, screenings, and tests will be conducted through Ayushman Arogya Mandirs, targeting high-risk individuals such as diabetics, malnourished people, smokers, alcohol consumers, former TB patients, close contacts of TB patients, and HIV-positive individuals.

The camps will be held at key public locations such as railway and bus stations, Ayushman Arogya Mandirs, and health centers. Additionally, they will be organized at workplaces such as factories, industries, brick kilns, construction sites, and crushers to benefit the working class and other vulnerable groups.

Awareness programs will be conducted in collaboration with panchayats, urban local bodies, self-help groups, Jan Arogya Samitis, Mahila Arogya Samitis, and Village Health, Nutrition, and Sanitation Committees. New Ni-Kshay Mitras and TB champions will be identified to further boost the campaign’s impact.

Awareness messages will also be disseminated through religious leaders during festivals and fairs. Schools and colleges will host art and cultural activities, rallies, and competitions. Additionally, “Ni-Kshay Week” will be observed in government departments, with awareness sessions, camps, and events organized beyond the health department.
