CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Under the direction of Chief Medical and Health Officer Prabhakar Tiwari, a meeting was organized at the District Malaria Office regarding the Malaria Month, where the outline for the upcoming Malaria Month was established.
District Malaria Officer Akhilesh Dubey attended the meeting along with all the teams. During the meeting, District Malaria Officer Akhilesh Dubey stated that as we all know, the rainy season is approaching, which increases the possibility of larval breeding. Therefore, everyone should work with vigilance and coordination, conduct regular larval surveys and destruction, and provide people with information regarding malaria and dengue, including causes, remedies, and prevention measures, with utmost priority. No negligence should be tolerated.
District Malaria Officer Akhilesh Dubey urged people to motivate them to empty all water containers inside their homes every seven days and cover water containers daily to prevent the breeding of larvae. With regular rainfall expected in the coming months, public awareness about larval control is essential. People should be made aware of dengue and malaria prevention through pamphlets, banners, etc.
Health camps should be organized during the Dengue Month, along with creating awareness at the Anganwadi level. Information on dengue prevention should be provided to all pregnant women and upcoming women during Urban Health and Nutrition Day. Inter-departmental coordinator meetings should be organized at each zone and block level, and competitions should be conducted in schools for malaria control with children.
