CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: On the occasion of International Yoga Day, a yoga program was organized at the campus of Madhya Pradesh Bhoj Open University. The university’s officials, teachers, and staff actively participated in the event, practicing various yoga postures and pranayama. Shailja Trivedi, a yoga professor and head of the department at Atal Bihari Vajpayee Hindi University, was present to lead the yoga practice for the attendees.
She first explained the benefits of yoga and then conducted physical exercises, guiding the participants through various yoga postures and pranayama. On this occasion, she said, ‘Yoga is a pure Indian science that keeps our mind, brain, and body healthy. Thanks to the efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, it is now being propagated across the world.’
On this occasion, the Vice-Chancellor of Madhya Pradesh Bhoj Open University, Sanjay Tiwari, said, ‘Yoga is a boon for our lives. It is a way to make our lives attractive, joyful, and orderly.’ The event was attended by the university’s Registrar Sushil Manderia, all the directors, teachers, and staff members of the university. The vote of thanks was delivered by Ratan Suryavanshi, Director of Student Support Services at Madhya Pradesh Bhoj Open University.”
