CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The A.I.U. Zonal Budball (Men & Women) Competition 2023-24, organized by JNCT Professional University, Bhopal under the aegis of the Association of Indian Universities, successfully concluded. This four-day competition, hosted for the first time by JNCT Professional University, Bhopal, saw participation from 550 male and female athletes representing 35 universities.
At the closing ceremony, the chief guest was Shailesh Singh, Director General of Police, Madhya Pradesh Police, Bhopal. Other dignitaries included Mrs. Poonam Chouksey, Chancellor of LNCT University, Indore, Anupam Chouksey, Chancellor of JNCT Professional University, Bhopal, Dr. Nagendra Sharma, AIU Observer for Budball, Meetu Singh, Vice Chancellor N.K. Thapak, Vice Chancellor of LNCTU, Dr. Mohit Pandya, Registrar, Pankaj Kumar Jain, Sports Director of LNCT Group, Sunil Singh, OSD LNCT Group, Praveen Manvatkar, Founder of Budball India, and Lieutenant Anurag Chouksey, Competition Secretary. Medals and trophies were awarded to all winning players by these dignitaries.
In the Fairway Team Event Women’s category, Parul University won the gold medal, LNCT University secured the silver medal, and Gondwana University and Saurashtra University jointly won the bronze medal.
