CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The AYUSH Department of AIIMS organized a health camp today in Barbattpur village. This initiative was undertaken under the guidance of AIIMS Executive Director, Prof. Ajay Singh, who is a strong advocate for extending healthcare services to underserved rural populations. The health camp was held at the Anganwadi Center in Barbattpur village, where many patients benefited from the health services. Medical Officer Dr. Sanjivini Magarde and Yoga Instructor Chanchal Suryavanshi were present from the AYUSH team. A special yoga session was also conducted for the students of the Government High School in Barbattpur village, in which the students participated enthusiastically.

The camp provided yoga consultation sessions, AYUSH consultations, and free distribution of medicines to the patients. An awareness program was also conducted to offer comprehensive healthcare solutions to various individuals. The patients included young people, adults, and senior citizens from diverse socio-economic backgrounds. Many of those who attended were suffering from chronic conditions such as arthritis, anxiety, and high blood pressure. The response from the patients was overwhelmingly positive.

Prof. Ajay Singh appreciated the efforts of the AYUSH Department in organizing this health camp. He emphasized the importance of such outreach activities in improving access to healthcare and outcomes in rural areas, empowering rural communities to lead healthy lives. AIIMS Bhopal is dedicated to expanding quality healthcare services to remote areas as part of its mission.
