CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: “The sixth edition of the ‘Vishwa Rang’ festival, which has earned remarkable global recognition for language, culture, literature, and art, will be held from August 7 to 9, 2024, at the World Hindi Secretariat (Mauritius) and Rabindranath Tagore University (India), jointly organized by these institutions.

Announcing ‘Vishwa Rang-2024’ in an online meeting of the Vishwa Rang International Organizing Committee, Mr. Santosh Choubey, Director of Vishwa Rang and Chancellor of Rabindranath Tagore University, stated that the event will be organized in collaboration with the Tagore International Hindi Centre (India), Tagore World Art and Culture Centre (India), Mahatma Gandhi Institute (Mauritius), Rabindranath Tagore Institute (Mauritius), Hindi Speaking Union (Mauritius), Hindi Pracharini Sabha (Mauritius), Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati Institute (Mauritius), Vishwa Rang Secretariat (India), and Vanmali Creation Peeth (India).

The ‘Tagore International Hindi Centre’ has been established at the Rabindranath Tagore University campus. Through this, Hindi teaching courses are being developed and connected with various countries. This time, Vishwa Rang will open new avenues for global discourse on various aspects of language teaching. Along with language teaching, literature, art, and culture will be special attractions at Vishwa Rang. Language and literature sessions, as well as cultural sessions, will feature creative participation from linguists, writers, and artists from India, Mauritius, and other countries. Experts from various countries who have done exemplary work in promoting and expanding language teaching globally will be honored with the Vishwa Rang-2024 award.

Dr. Jawahar Karnawat, Director of the Tagore Hindi International Centre, expressed his thoughts, stating that eleven books by Indian writers from various countries will be released at Vishwa Rang. Additionally, the book ‘Hindi in the World’ will be released, which assesses the status of Hindi in over 65 countries worldwide.

Vinay Upadhyay, Director of Tagore World Art and Culture, conducted the international meeting and elaborated on the previous events, the invocation, and various aspects of folk art and culture, stating that Vishwa Rang 2024 will prove to be meaningful in creating a global platform for language, culture, literature, and art.

On this occasion, the poster for Vishwa Rang 2024 was unveiled by Vishwa Rang visionary Santosh Choubey, Jawahar Karnawat, Director of the Tagore International Hindi Centre and Advisor to the Indian Diaspora Literature and Culture Research Centre, Vinay Upadhyay, Director of Tagore World Art and Culture Centre, Sanjay Singh Rathore, Secretary of Vishwa Rang Secretariat, and Vikas Awasthi from AISECT. Country coordinators from various countries also participated creatively in this event.”
