A safety award distribution ceremony was organized at the Divisional Railway Manager’s office in Bhopal under the leadership of Railway Manager Devashish Tripathi. During the ceremony, employees of the division who had ensured railway passenger safety by averting potential accidents through their prompt and vigilant actions were honored.

Mr. Devashish Tripathi honored the following employees with certificates and cash awards for their vigilance and promptness:

Avoided Potential Accident Due to Sparking

On 25.05.2024, while train number 11116 was passing through Sharangpur station, Vikram Singh Meena (Sub Station Manager, Sharangpur) noticed sparking in the axle box on the left side of the coach number B-1. He signaled the danger and halted the train, allowing Dinesh Singh Jat (Train Manager, Guna) to inspect and detect a hot axle issue, thus averting a potential accident.

Prompt Action on Smoke Emission

On 12.04.2024, during the transit of a train at Lalitpur station, Gayatri Patidar (Assistant Station Master, Lalitpur) noticed smoke coming from a coach and immediately stopped the train for inspection, preventing a major accident.

Prevented Jammed Brake Block

On 28.05.2024, while train number 22130 was passing through Sorai station, Rahul Yadav (Sub Station Manager, Sorai) observed smoke in the SLR. He signaled the danger and stopped the train, resolving the jammed brake block issue and avoiding a potential accident.

Prevented Engine Fire

On 03.06.2024, at Gulabganj station, Saurabh Singh (Constable, Gulabganj) noticed smoke from the engine of train number 12627 and showed vigilance by stopping the train, which helped extinguish the engine fire.

Identified and Prevented Leakage Trolley

On 16.06.2024, Krishna Kant (Train Manager, Itarsi) saw a leakage trolley in the engine and immediately took action, stopping the train and preventing an accident.

Identified Hot Axle

On 20.06.2024, Adarsh Rathore (Train Manager, Itarsi) noticed symptoms of a hot axle in the enbox and stopped the train, averting a potential accident.

Quick Solution for Gas Leak

On 28.06.2024, Lalit Kumar (Constable, Pilibhit) noticed smoke from the vehicle in the second part of train number enbox and stopped the train, preventing a potential accident.

Repair of Pipe Leak

On 31.12.2023, Rahul Sahu (Assistant Yard Pilot, Bina) saw a pipe leak between TC-2 and TC-3 in train number 16631 and immediately acted to repair it.

Prevented Fall of a Large Tree

On 04.06.2024, Khayali Ram (Yard Pilot, Guna) and O.P. Sen (Assistant Yard Pilot, Guna) stopped the train number 20961 due to the fall of a large tree, preventing an accident.

Resolved Engine Issue

On 04.06.2024, Sushil Bakshi (Yard Pilot, Itarsi) and Raghav Chaurasia (Assistant Yard Pilot, Itarsi) resolved an engine issue, avoiding a potential accident.

Identified and Prevented Grease Leak

On 14.06.2024, Jitendra Yadav (Yard Pilot, Itarsi) noticed a grease leak in the engine and promptly took action to repair it.

These employees performed commendably by preventing potential accidents through their alertness and vigilance during their duties. Their swift and responsible actions not only saved passengers’ lives but also ensured the safety of railway property. The railway administration appreciates their vigilance and dedication and encourages them to continue with the same commitment.

On this occasion, the Divisional Railway Manager praised the dedicated and vigilant railway personnel and wished them continued enthusiasm, dedication, and vigilance in their work.

Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Saurabh Kataria mentioned that passenger safety is our priority, and we are continuously working towards this goal. Employees are being trained to effectively handle any emergency situation.
