CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: West Central Railway’s Bhopal Division Divisional Railway Manager, Devashish Tripathi, conducted a thorough inspection of the Rani Kamalapati-Itarsi rail section and Narmadapuram and Itarsi railway stations. He reviewed the ongoing construction work at Narmadapuram and Itarsi stations under the Amrit Station Scheme. The main purpose of this inspection was to evaluate the progress of various construction and development works.

During the inspection, the Divisional Railway Manager conducted a window trailing inspection from Rani Kamalapati to Itarsi, closely examining the condition of the railway tracks, signaling systems, and safety measures. He emphasized that regular inspection of tracks and signaling is essential to ensure safe and smooth rail travel. Following the inspection, he instructed the concerned officials to complete all tasks with quality and within the stipulated time. He also stated that the railway is fully committed to improving passenger facilities and ensuring the welfare of employees.

Upon reaching Narmadapuram station, the Divisional Railway Manager inspected passenger amenities, food units, reservation office, booking office, waiting rooms, platforms, circulating area, and foot overbridge. He also reviewed the development work and safety standards under the Amrit Station Scheme.

Later, the Divisional Railway Manager inspected the newly constructed Itarsi station under the Amrit Station Scheme and directed officials to complete the construction works with quality and within the timeline, keeping future requirements and passenger safety in mind. He also inspected the integrated driver and guard crew lobby, where he interacted with loco pilots, assistant loco pilots, train operation staff, and other safety-related railway personnel. The Divisional Railway Manager reviewed the safety registers, yard layouts, and discussed safety procedures in detail. Additionally, he assessed the facilities available for employees and inquired about train operations, safety, and security regulations.

While inspecting the Itarsi yard, the Divisional Railway Manager checked the railway tracks, points and crossings, signaling systems, and safety measures to ensure safe and secure train operations. He stressed that regular inspections are necessary for safe and smooth rail travel. After the inspection, he instructed the officials to prioritize safety in all operations.

During the inspection, the Divisional Railway Manager was accompanied by Senior Divisional Engineer (Coordination) Rituraj Sharma, Senior Divisional Engineer (Central) Mahendra Singh, Senior Divisional Engineer (Southern) Abhishek Mishra, Senior Divisional Signal & Telecom Engineer (Signal) Rao Abhishek, Senior Divisional Electrical Engineer (Traction Operations) Sachin Sharma, Divisional Commercial Manager Pankaj Kumar Dubey, along with other officers and supervisory staff.
