CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The closing and award distribution ceremony of the “Regional Rail Hindi Drama Festival-2024” competition, implemented by the Ministry of Railways (Railway Board), was organized. In this competition, a total of 90 theater artists from six teams, representing the cultural academies of Jabalpur, Bhopal, and Kota divisions, as well as Bhopal and Kota workshops of West Central Railway, participated.
During the competition, a total of six plays were staged, with the play “Kursi Mahima” from the Bhopal division securing third place. For this outstanding performance, a shield was awarded by the General Manager. Additionally, the award for Best Supporting Actor went to Mr. Jitendra Purohit, and the award for Best Costume went to Mr. Vijay Purwal. These artist railway employees from the Bhopal division were honored with mementos and certificates.
Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Saurabh Kataria mentioned that the Bhopal division received a total of three awards. This drama festival not only served as a platform to showcase the talent of the theater artists but also encouraged the cultural expression of railway employees. The railway administration is continually striving to promote creativity and participation among employees through such cultural activities.
