CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: “A detailed discussion was held today between the Department of New and Renewable Energy and a high-level delegation from the State Bank of India to effectively implement the PM Solar Home Free Electricity Scheme in the state.
Additional Chief Secretary Manu Srivastava informed the bank officials about the proposed action plan for the effective implementation of the PM Solar Home Scheme in the state. He also provided information about other ambitious schemes of the department to ensure the availability of attractive loan rates for all schemes. If proper financial arrangements are made for solar energy-related projects, this scheme could prove to be highly beneficial economically.
On this occasion, the Chief General Manager (CGM) J.C. Paul from State Bank Mumbai, along with the State In-charge Chief General Manager Sharma and a team of bank officials, praised the proposal for the effective implementation of the PM Solar Home Scheme in the state. They assured that the State Bank of India would provide loans to domestic beneficiaries at an easy 7% interest rate according to the directives of the Government of India.
The meeting was attended by Energy Secretary Raghuram Rajendran, Amanveer Singh Bains, Managing Director of Madhya Pradesh Energy Development Corporation Limited, along with senior officials of the Energy Corporation.
With the facility of easy loans from the bank, the implementation of the PM Solar Home Scheme will become simpler for all sections of society, and the participation of renewable energy in the state will increase.”
