CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The faculty members of NITTTR Bhopal received a 15-day training on Industrial Automation at Siemens, Mumbai. A total of 16 faculty members were trained in the latest Industry 4.0 automation in mechatronics. In this training program, they primarily learned about PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) programming and controlling drives using PLC. They visited the Siemens PLC Automation Industry and the IoT Lab at Siemens.

This entire training was problem-based learning oriented, aimed at identifying the gap between the actual needs of industries and the subjects taught in institutions. NITTTR Bhopal has already signed a memorandum of understanding with Siemens to operate a Siemens Center of Excellence Lab on campus, where a total of 11 labs are established under Siemens’ latest technology.

According to the director of NITTTR Bhopal, Prof. C.C. Tripathi, NITTTR Bhopal strives to innovate in the field of education, training, and research through the Center of Excellence, constantly encouraging faculty to learn, update themselves, innovate, and adapt to the changing needs and expectations of students and the world. In this regard, we regularly send our faculty and staff members to training sessions and seminars.
