CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The Centre of Happiness at AIIMS Bhopal celebrated its first foundation day. It was established a year ago by Professor Singh. On this occasion, Executive Director of AIIMS Bhopal, Professor Ajay Singh, extended his Teacher’s Day greetings and remarked that happiness is a science that needs to be practiced.

Doctors, medical students, nursing students, and paramedical staff face a lot of stress due to their work and long hours. Caregivers and patients also suffer from mental, physical, and financial burdens, which lowers their morale and makes it difficult for them to cope with problems and illnesses. Through the Centre of Happiness, a scientific understanding of happiness is being developed, helping people become more optimistic. Happiness and good health go hand in hand.

On this occasion, Professor Manas Mandal from IIT Kharagpur shared his thoughts on the topic, “What Makes Us Happy – The Science Behind Happiness.” In addition, musical, dance, and other cultural programs were organized. The event was attended by residents, nursing staff, students, faculty members, patients, and their families.

Professor Ajay Singh appreciated the activities being carried out by the Centre and emphasized the inclusion of happiness-related subjects in the academic curriculum to foster a scientific understanding of happiness in society.
