CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The four-day Inter-Circle Badminton Tournament, organized by the State Bank of India Circle Welfare Committee, concluded with a grand, disciplined, and inspiring closing ceremony held in a highly dignified atmosphere. This prestigious sporting event witnessed enthusiastic participation from men and women players representing various SBI circles across the country, who displayed exceptional skill, discipline, and sportsmanship, making the tournament truly memorable.

The Chief Guest of the closing ceremony was Ponambalam Murugan, Chief General Manager (Human Resources), State Bank of India, Mumbai. In his address, he emphasized that sports activities are not limited to physical fitness alone; they also cultivate discipline, teamwork, leadership qualities, and healthy competition, all of which are vital in a service-oriented sector like banking. He lauded the players for their enthusiasm, dedication, and discipline, stating that such events infuse organizations with energy and positivity.

The event was graced by the presence of Prabhash Kumar Subuddhi, Chief General Manager, Bhopal Circle (Madhya Pradesh & Chhattisgarh), as the Guest of Honour. He appreciated the efforts of the Circle Welfare Committee and noted that sporting events not only strengthen the physical and mental well-being of officers and employees but also reinforce mutual coordination and organizational unity.

The ceremony also saw the distinguished presence of senior bank management, including Kundan Jyoti (General Manager–I), Omkarnath Chaudhary (General Manager–II), Shubhkanta Kanungo (General Manager–CAO), Circle Development Officer Manish Mathpal, along with other senior officials.

Amit Sharma, Secretary of the Circle Welfare Committee, presented a detailed overview of the tournament, stating that the four-day competition featured high-level matches characterized by discipline and exemplary sportsmanship throughout.

The occasion was further enriched by the presence of the Ladies Club President and her team, officials from Officers’ Associations, Unions, Service Organizations, and the OBC Association, as well as a large number of officers and staff members. Their active participation added to the grandeur of the event. Spectators enthusiastically encouraged the players, giving the entire tournament a festive atmosphere.
