CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The Coordination Review Meeting for the second week of September, chaired by West Central Railway General Manager Shobhana Bandyopadhyay, was concluded. The meeting was attended by Additional General Manager R.S. Saxena and other key heads of departments from the headquarters.

Additionally, Divisional Railway Managers from all three divisions joined via video conferencing. The meeting emphasized safety and infrastructure works, as well as increasing originating revenue. Key topics discussed included focusing on all points of the Key Performance Index (KPI), developing Gati Shakti Multi-Modal Cargo Terminals (GST) and Private Freight Terminals (PFT), improving goods traffic, and ensuring the safety inspection of railway lines and trains. Discussions also covered ensuring the availability of safety equipment and facilities for railway staff during maintenance and emphasizing the safe operation of trains.

At the start of the meeting, General Manager Shobhana Bandyopadhyay stated that safe and secure railway operations are a priority. She instructed the concerned officers to regularly review and inspect new railway lines, yards, and sensitive railway sections, ensure frequent patrolling by gatemen, and supply safety equipment and facilities to railway personnel during safety operations. She also emphasized maintaining loop lines with the same importance as the main lines. The General Manager directed adherence to safety guidelines set by the Railway Board and encouraged systematic improvements in railway yards. She also provided guidelines to expedite and complete infrastructure projects within the stipulated timelines.

During the meeting, the General Manager highlighted the need to focus on effective measures to increase originating revenue. Additionally, the Additional Divisional Railway Managers of all three divisions were instructed to ensure continuous monitoring of the development of Gati Shakti Multi-Modal Cargo Terminals (GST) and Private Freight Terminals (PFT) to improve goods traffic.

The General Manager also reviewed the progress of infrastructure works, the increase in railway revenue, and passenger amenities, providing directives to the concerned officers of all three divisions to expedite their work.
